Dr. Kopcza decided to become an orthodontist at the age of 12 after receiving orthodontic care herself, and noticing the positive effects of her wonderful new smile. She has a passion for creating beautiful smiles, and is dedicated to giving back to the community through the gift of a smile.
Dr. Karolyn Kopcza graduated cum laude with a B.S. degree with Honors in Neuroscience from Lafayette College in 2007. She earned her DDS at the University of Maryland in 2011, where she received numerous awards in her field. Dr. Kopcza continued her education with a one year general practice dental residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, followed by a three year residency in orthodontics at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Dr. Kopcza lives in New York City, and loves going to the beach, trying new restaurants, and taking dance classes in her free time.
Dr. Tina An was raised in Queens, New York. She completed her undergraduate studies at Binghamton University to earn her bachelor’s degree in science. After which, she attended Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine for her formal dental training. She then chose to specialize in orthodontics and completed her advanced postgraduate orthodontics residency at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine as well.
Dr. Tina is a firm believer in the importance of a confident smile and she is passionate about creating beautiful smiles for patients. She is strongly committed to continuing education to keep current on the latest technologies, techniques and research in order to provide the best care and treatment. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Tanksley was raised in Long Island, New York. She completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University with a Bachelor in Biology. Her dental education began at the University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her dental degree. Dr. Tanksley continued her education with a general practice dental residency at North Shore University Hospital, followed by specialty training at St. Barnabas Hospital for orthodontics.
Dr. Gail Tanksley is a proud member of American Association of Orthodontists and American Dental Association. As a specialist in orthodontics she strives to utilize her skilled training to meet the desires of each patient in the most efficient and esthetic way possible. She is actively attending Invisalign continuing education seminars and making aligners therapy an integral part of her treatment modalities. This has allowed her to treat even the most complex cases with aligners. Beyond orthodontics Dr. Tanksley has a very active life with hobbies such as running, biking, yoga, cooking, dancing, writing and supporting the community with her volunteer service.
